C-Plant Federal Credit Union traces its origins back to November 1951 when it was initially chartered as C. & C. C. C. Employees Federal Credit Union, with a mission to cater to the employees of the former Union Carbide Corporation plant in West Paducah, KY. The moniker "C-Plant" pays homage to our heritage, dating back to the 1950s when the Department of Defense outlined plans for three uranium facilities in Oak Ridge, TN, Portsmouth, OH, and Paducah, KY, with the Paducah site colloquially known as the "C plant."

Catering to the Western Kentucky community and families for over six decades has firmly established C-Plant Federal Credit Union as a cornerstone in the region. In December 2014, the National Credit Union Administration extended its community charter, allowing individuals residing, working, worshiping, volunteering, or studying in Kentucky Counties including Ballard, Caldwell, Crittenden, Graves, Hopkins, Livingston, McCracken, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Union to access the exceptional financial services provided by C-Plant Federal Credit Union.
